I did not use a Body Weight Scale! I used Silhouette Photos!

Silhouette photos are something I use with clients to show them that "they are" seeing results!
In my first transformation, I was about 2.5 months into my transformation and walking one super hot day in Trail B.C.. I looked to my left and noticed my shadow on a building.
It literally made me look beside me because I did not recognize the shadow. Well that shadow was mine!
I was blown away at what my shadow or silhouette looked like!
I did not have a belly, but I had muscles showing in the shadow! I was so excited and kept looking at every shadow I could that day in amazement. It was working!
In my first transformation I did not own a body weight scale thus, I did not transform based on bodyweight.
There is something to say here that is fantastic, about having no scale! What I know now is that the scale can blind our (True) results!
Many people will eat some healthy meals, do a few workouts and attempt a couple long runs in their first transformation week. They start to feel accomplished and want instant gratification from this hard work, so they only thing they know is to step on the scale.
Unfortunately, if they do not lose any weight, they get super upset, discouraged and some even quit.
Sadly they are not looking at all the (WINS) they are creating like these below.

Stacking WINS is what I call these.
In order to create a new person we need to build some new habits.
My first transformation I created a ton of new supportive habits.
These fully motivated me to keep going!
Obviously I looked in the mirror and was seeing small results here and there, but I was addicted to my journey thus far. Additionally, the silhouette shadow, by far was the best indicator for me that I was on the right track.
Then hearing others commenting on how I was looking, saying "Chad you are looking great what are you doing".
At first I did not believe these comments, but they kept coming!
So I would take measurements and photos of myself at home.
Measurements were all dropping down, my clothes were all falling off me and my photos started to show the changes.
Again, I did not know how much I weighed, I just kept stacking WINS and moving forward.

Here is the photo again. What do you think these versions of me weigh?

Now behind every picture there is a story on how that person developed that body.
Some would say the guy on the right is 200lbs, but all the fat is gone and I added lean sculpted muscle.
Check out my next photos.

Now what would you say about these body weights?
We know the right side is 178lbs.
What do you think the left side is in weight?
What are the stories behind these individuals?
Is one person stacking more WINS and living a healthier lifestyle than the other?
Check these out!

The exact same weight! How? Why?
Pretty crazy right!
Not always about body weight!
Both pictures again hold a story!
The picture on the right had more supportive WINS daily!
The picture on the left, that guy gained a lot of unhealthy deep visceral fat deep around his organs. He lost a lot of muscle and replaced it with fat! We will find out why after these next photos.

This is my latest transformation as I just turned 50 years old, that is the silhouette on the right.
The photo on the left I was 47, this is the same photo from above.
Here is the back story about the picture on the left.

Some would call this a healthy silhouette, but again each picture holds a story!
I was literally on my death bed here!
From heart palpitations to not being able to get out of bed!
HOW?
Stress and not stacking WINS to support a healthy lifestyle!
I decided to get help and change for my family!

Here is me at 50!
I changed everything!
Created new goals!
Got rid of what was not working!
Thought about myself at the ages of 60,70,80, and doing what I could now, to make those milestones epic!
I did not want people visiting me in the hospital just hanging onto life, popping pills to just get by and to cover up my pain. Today's world is saturated by this!

I want to be strong, fit, mobile, and happy!
I do not want to do crazy death workouts and torture myself.
I want to enjoy my gym time! I want to build and sculpt a body that can go for years!!! I want to look like a beast at 60!
This takes patience and a love for the journey!
I honestly do not care what my bodyweight is!
I care about stacking wins and feeling optimized!
I care about being around with my son and wife, not as a unfit sick nuisance, but fit father and husband playing and having epic family journeys!
This all has to start by creating a new lifestyle that supports your long range goals!
If you stack wins like these, you do not have to think about bodyweight because your weight will take care of itself!

Please everyone!
Do the work, love the journey and be patient.
Your results will come if you stack wins daily!
How can you tell if you are winning?
Take a silhouette photo monthly. If you look the exact same, write down the daily wins you are doing. If those wins are random and not supportive, there is your answer to why you are not changing!
Here is a video on this exact blog.
